Objects of Affection

Packaging is usually regarded to as the commercial end of graphic design, while in affect it is actually eventful, touching and at times revolutionary – a perfect object of affection.
A solid form captures the eye and leaves a profound memory in our minds.
A relatively new player in the scene is type. or rather type only.
This seems like a reaction to the genetically engineered labels that want to seduce our senses with obvious means. There’s a hunger for something new, for something genuine. These labels speak the language of truth, or so to speak. They inform us rather than perform. Their design is lean and accurate – it feels direct and true.
